Hi, it's Mulia again!
Yup, now I'd like to give my opinion toward a news from
http://www.hindustantimes.com/news/181_1924628,0094.htm.
As you can see from the title, it's about
(n.b: it's for the blog assignment^^)----------------------------------------------------------------------
Well, nowadays, the issue of global warming is not as unusual as it was in the last decade. Ten years ago, when the scientists pronounced that global warming had begun, we might be unaware of it as we hadn't seen any evidences. But, now the effect of global warming can be found easily, for example: the drop of crop yields, tropical diseases, and the loss of Arctic ice that caused the see level to be higher.
The biggest impact for us that's quite noticeable is the large number of flood cases in several countries, such as; Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, West New York, Tanzania, and Peru.The result of an observation on the greenhouse gasses, especially carbon dioxide and methane, shows that in recent decade these gasses occurs more likely due to the burning of fossil fuels and the deforestation of tropical forests than to natural occurrence.

from http://home.swipnet.se/vingen/Regnskogen/Bilder/DEFORESTATION.JPGAccording to the article, the extent of damage to the ecosystem will increase with every degree increase in the temperature. The 0.7 degree increase in warming so far has resulted in frequent extreme weather conditions, floods and droughts and, to some extent, migration of plant and animal species. If we didn't take any immediate action, the temperatures of the world would increase by 6.4 degrees by 2100. Could you imagine what will happen then? It’s not just something that the author wrote to frightened us, it’s rather something for us to think of.
Imagine our world become very hot as the result of global warming and being a human being in this 'modern world', we will likely to install more air-con in our rooms. But do you realize that the air-con will discharge the greenhouse gas? The gas will then affect the ozone, and as the result global warming will become worse and worse as the time passed by.
I tend to think that the article is very necessary for most of the people, so that they will become more aware of what is happening in our world.
In my own point of view, men should be more concerned with their environment. Not just to prevent the further damage of global warming but also to make a better world for the next generation to live.Now, think about this…
Our world, the place where we live, the place that gives us a lot of memories, and the place where the future generations would live is now dying for what we had done.
It is almost impossible now to heal the damage, but we at least can stop the further damage by being more concerned about it.
“I expect to pass through this world but once.
If, therefore there can be any kindness I can show or any good thing I can do
let me do it now...
Let me not defer it, or neglect it,
For I shall not pass this way again.”
